Tetraploid Perennial Ryegrass

By

Tetraploid Perennial Ryegrass is quick to establish and combines high forage production potential with excellent palatability and persistence. It can also be used as a nurse grass during Alfalfa establishment and inter-seeded into pastures annually to extend productivity. Tetraploid Perennial Ryegrass does well in rotational grazing for equine, dairy, lamb, and beef, as well as hay production, silage and green chop production, and pasture inter-seeding. Tetraploids, as opposed to diploid varieties, are more palatable, are broad-leaved and have a higher forage yield, and are more resistant to diseases making them the commonly preferred variety for livestock grazing.
