Crested Wheatgrass is a long-lived perennial, cool-season, introduced bunchgrass. This drought-tolerant and winter-hardy grass has a deep-rooted system making it an excellent soil binder. It is well-adapted to stabilizing disturbed soils. Crested Wheatgrass is commonly seeded in the arid sections of the western United States.
