Slender Wheatgrass is a short-lived perennial, cool-season, native bunchgrass. It has very short rhizomes which prefer loam or sandy loam soils. Slender Wheatgrass is a relative species to the mountain and intermountain areas of the western United States and the northern Great Plains. It is primarily used for native or reclamation applications.
