Dahurian Wildrye is a short-lived perennial, cool-season, introduced bunchgrass. It has a deep root system allowing good drought tolerance and prefers well-drained, fertile soils. As an excellent forage grass and common in many pasture mixes, Dahurian Wildrye germinates quickly and regrows aggressively after cutting and grazing, all while maintaining excellent palatability.
